What Goes Around Comes Around for Snow White

A beautiful young girl goes strolling through the forest all alone innocently. She forgets about the rules and leaves her home. She runs and tries to hide her dark, dark secret. She wouldn't tell anyone, she would only give them clues. “The spirit of the person who had me, flew away”. But what does that even mean? Can you figure it out?

Snow White stumbles upon an odd cottage deep in the thick forest trees and bushes. She thought the cottage will be a lot bigger than she thought, but then she looked even harder and she saw 7 harmless dwarves walking into the doors of the small cottage. She straitened up and ran up to the dwarves sounding puffed to trick them. All she wanted to do was to get into that small cottage so her plan could finally work.

That night, she was in a room of her own that the kind dwarves offered her and whispered to herself, “They will listen to me and they will do what I want them to do!” and laughed madly and sounded like she had gone insane. The dwarves snored loudly in their snug beds while Snow White stayed up in her bedroom to improve her plan.

The sun rose telling nature it was morning. Snow White waited by the door for the 7 dwarves to wake to tell them what she really wanted. They walked down the short staircase and saw Snow White looking as serious as ever. She took a deep breath and spoke “I am in charge of you now, you will obey me and if you don’t, your head will become an ornament for the wall!” The dwarves were scared so they listened to Snow White and they became her servants.

Snow White ordered them to do anything she didn’t want to do, which was everything. It had been months since the dwarves had a long rest and they were exhausted. The leader of the dwarves had enough of Snow White’s nonsence so it was his turn to make a plan. He stayed up all night in the time he got to himself to plan revenge on Snow White.

“Snow White we have had enough!” Doc said in the morning. “We are tired of taking orders from you and this is how it is going to be now. You are going to leave otherwise no-one will ever see you again!” but Snow White refused and stayed so Doc decided to do what the dwarves would call impossible.

Now, nobody even knows her name. Nobody knows her face and now she is just a memory to the poor dwarves that now live happily and freely without Snow White in their lives. Snow White killed her mother but now she is going to suffer with her in the same place. What goes around really does come around for Snow White.

The New Literacy Block

The New Literacy Block

I’m so excited about the ‘New Literacy Block’ at school because it has changed a lot. I have had a lot of fun with what I am doing in the first block of school. This week, I am lucky to be with Ms Tito and learning how to draw koru and maori patterns. I must say, IT IS AWESOME!!!

Our groups have been sorted according to the days that classes go to Tamaki Tech. For example, if you go to tech on Thursdays like me, you will have Te Reo and moving making. If you go to tech on Tuesdays, you will have literacy and writing rotations this week and the great thing is, you swap every week!

I really enjoy the new rotations, it is really fun! There is something different to do every single week. I hope you like it too!

Prospective Student

Prospective Student

His heart pumps in a speedy tempo. He feels exhausted but eager and he will not give up. He climbs an unsturdy cliff which leads to an important place to him. The student feels nervous but proud of himself as he finally gets to feel solid ground under his feet. The boy knocks on the door loudly hoping he would get a reply.

The master of that school opened the wide and heavy doors. The boy notices the master and takes a deep bow to greet him. As the master sees the young boy, he directed him away. The boy was extremely dissapointed and felt rejected as the man turned him away.

The boy took a deep breath and sat down to meditate through the night. The master came back hoping the boy wouldn’t still be there but was let down as he saw the boy sitting near the staircase. The boy stood up and the master sent him away for the second time. The master then left and slammed the giant doors behind him.

The boy would not give up, he was determined to get into that school so he clenched his fists and busted down the double doors, ready to fight the master. The master came out once again and pointed to a sign that said ‘Please use side entrance’. The boy felt embarrassed when he finally saw that the master was telling him to use another door. The boy now knows that it is always a good thing to listen to a master.

A Dark Fairytale

A DARK FAIRYTALE

It is dark, it is evil and it is alive. Look before your make your turn. Watch your back, there might be something behind you. Be careful of what lies ahead.

It was a gloomy night where there was nothing around but misty forests and very dull lanterns. There was a family who lived in a tiny house in the middle of the misty forest. They were used to the terrifying surroundings but they were also afraid that one day a reletave would just dissapear and never return because of the mysterious human being that was also living there. The hunter.

A little girl named Bell went out one day to look for a range of fruits for a dish that her mother was making, but Bell wanted to surprise her mum so she went out without telling anyone in her family. She didn’t know anything about the hunter so she took her time searching for a mix of delicious fruits.

Bell’s mother was wondering where her precious child had run off to. She was begginning to worry about her and sent the strongest men in her family to look for Bell.

It was getting late and there was still no sign of the people that left to find Bell. Until finally, the men returned with bad news. “We couldn’t find your daughter” said the oldest one, Paul. Bell’s mother was very dissapointed to hear the news. But she decided she wouldn’t give up.

Little did they know but Bell had been kidnapped and tortured by the hunter. She is being hold captive in a small room where she is been locked up by chains to be murdered. But then she heard a crack and then a BOOM!!! The door collapsed on the ground in a heart beat, and by then her heart was beating louder than ever because of the major fright she got from the door suddenly bursting open unexpectedly.

Another unexpected thing was the person that went into the room was someone in her own family. She was pumped and breathed a sigh of relief. Her family left as fast as they could hoping they would successfully pass the hunter which they did.                       

Bell’s family was thankful that they finally had Bell back in their sights but the hunter was still hunting for more...

Can’t go a day without Electronics

The first thing I am going to explain to you is, my long weekend was not fun at all! Infact, it was probably the most boring weekend for this year. Plus seriously, the lowest limit that ‘boring’ has reached for me so far is at nearly dying point. I know right, really bad and SO boring!!!! I will only have fun if there is a electronic gadget around me, one that I can use ofcourse!

I can not sit still for a long time without something like a phone, computer or tv! Otherwise I will bug my parents for something to do, and trust me, it annoys me just as much as it annoys them. And the cause of it is just being bored! Do you know how that feels, to be so bored that you could just flop on the couch and fall asleep in the click of your fingers?!

Ah, some days, I do get really excited because my family might take us out or I have a electric gadget in front of me! And I’m warning you now, if you gave me a gadget of some sort, good luck with trying to get it back when you want it. But I bet anyone would be like that if they are someone like me, it’s just that I am probably the worst!

If only some amazing geniuses (Did I spell that right?) made an awesome product which would listen to us and occupy our time, plus it would make my parents happy too, because I won’t be bugging them. Now wouldn’t that be the best thing that happened to you! Especially too me!, don’t you think?

I love electronics, where would I be without them? I bet every other kid my age would be the same. I mean what can I say, electronics and technology is the future! CAN’T GO A DAY WITHOUT ELECTRONICS!!!

Super Powers

Super Powers

What if you found out one day that you just magically had powers or something awesomely random? Well, I don’t think that is possible but I’m just wondering, what if that happened?

You could be a hero or a villan, or even something in between. Wow! That would be really awesome. You could make everyone love you or you could be against the whole entire world.  You could go smashing down towers like hulk, or have weapons inside your arms because you’re part robot!!!

If I got to choose a super power, I would want to have super invisibilty, wouldn't that be fun! You could pull pranks on people and scare people when you want to! But, that would never happen because unless somebody already has a power and can transfer them to us, that is impossible.

So, what super power do you dream to have? You could imagine in your head what it would be like and you could always change your mind about it and you could even have more than one! It’s like your very own world inside your head where you can do anything you want. I WISH I HAD SUPER POWERS!!!

Winter

Winter

As the numbing wind blows our hair back and sends a chill down our spine, we celebrate that it is now winter. The temperatures drop and the weather makes a visible change, for us to play in snow and drink hot chocolates while we sit by a warm fire.

Although that is not all that winter brings to us, winter also brings to some countries blizzards and snow falls. It can get extremely cold and bring to us natural disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes etc.

What do you think of winter, do you like or do you wish that it would never come again? I guess sometimes people do get really fed up with winter but there is also an upside. You can’t go out and play in fresh snow in any other season. You can experience a lot more if you go out and explore in winter.

Well, I have made my point, and now the rest is up to you. If you like or dislike winter, think about the reasons why. Remember, there is a lot that you can do in winter.  I LOVE WINTER!!!
